What to Dip in Chocolate Hazelnut Fondue
Fondue is fun because of all the choices of foods to dunk in in. Because chocolate hazelnut fondue has the same flavors as Nutella, think about all the things that you love to pair with that fantastic food! Try these suggestions for delicious items to dunk and enjoy.
- Pound cake - Cut dense cakes into cubes and serve with the fondue. Lighter, fluffier cakes may not hold up as well to chocolate hazelnut fondue, so look for pound cake recipes. If you don't want to make your own, many store-bought pound cakes will still be delicious!
- Fresh fruit - Strawberries and oranges are two delicious choices that work well with chocolate, but any of your favorite choices can be dunked.
- Marshmallows - Marshmallows are a classic addition to any dessert fondue plate. They are fairly neutral in flavor, so they are a great vessel for the fondue.
- Fudge - For the true chocoholic, try dipping dense, sweet fudge into fondue. Heaven.
- Cheesecake squares - Make sure that you have a recipe that is dense and firm, so it holds together when it is dipped. Then, enjoy!
- Pretzels - Salty items are delicious with fondue as well. The combination of chocolate and pretzels is delicious!
Strawberries should always be dipped in chocolate hazelnut fondue!
